Good morning everyone! Today I want to share with you the biggest reason I’ve found why people have misunderstandings
Whether it’s in a relationship or in business that I’m coaching, I find there’s always one common denominator… I’m sure if you think about it you know what it is it’s called. EXPECTATIONS!
Everybody has a different expectation of what you thought or what you meant or what happened is not what you thought would happen. What I want to talk to you about today is how to make sure that your expectations are either exceeded or at least fulfilled. And that includes the other way around – that you at least understand what somebody expects from you.
Communication is the foundation of our relationships so it’s important to think about this for a second. How do you find out what somebody else’s expectations are? “Asking” them might sound a little simple, but I would actually use that word.
What would you expect me to do?
If you really think about it, if you put yourself in their shoes and turn the question – what do they expect from me?
Think about that for a minute before you do anything and find out if you’re living up to somebody else’s expectations. If you are – great! If you’re not – keep in mind there’s a misunderstanding coming.
Keep that in mind and thanks!
